e.g. instead of trying to seek justice for a perceived slight by forcing a heroic redemption arc to make up for the previous chapter of embarrassing weakness you can say “ok this story is gonna be a comedy now”

a “chip” is a contrived plot device used to justify a specific emotion b/c that emotion is the only energy you know how to use even if it’s doesn’t make sense. like using anger-driven niceness to date or flirt. it’s a creepy feeling.

to become the chip is to find a way to force everything to work with that energy just like high fructose corn syrup worked its way into all foods. e.g. anger driven flirting requires a Redpill Machine that takes in anger and generates surface level charisma.
