this seems to be a reflection of how momentum trading works in general. whether it's btc, tsla stock, or gme stock people go crazy at a chance to own a piece of the footure.
thinking about this i'm now thinking of this short squeeze component as "Be so X they can't ignore you." btc: "be so popular..." tsla: "be so good..." gme: "be so retarded..."
