this "strong connection" is actually a real thing from the perspective of the dog. there is a sense that the master is "there" even though from an objective perspective the dog may just be lovably insane (e.g. sitting at the dead owner's grave)

the ability to build this "Infinite Connection" is THE method by which a God is created. a dog, by seeing a hooman as a God creates one. someone who is always there to guide, nuture, gift, empower, etc... even in the hooman's Complete Absence.

this is y the "Emo Stance" feels fundamentally childish. it's a method of dealing with loneliness by accepting darkness into the heart but it fails to understand that those who *truly* are immune to loneliness never actually feel alone.

Reminds me of
@SeanMombo He had tweeted about how when he's afraid of what others might think, he realizes that he isnt afraid if he asks if he cares about what a specific person might think. So this could be sorta zoomed out into a king / society / god acceptance kinda thing -
I do think that this analogy does make quite a few clicks Devoutly religious people are either quite extreme and angry. "YOURE GOING TO HELL" Or they're incredibly happy & optimistic "God will help us" How you relate to "god" is how you relate to yourself, your world & others
