The true challenge is that step 1 can't be fully communicated because we share models and not experiences

it's also not necessarily "good". people who want to "see it before I believe it" are *right* in emphasizing the experience over the mental abstraction. YET this same stance it what leads to being an anti-vaxxer and similar. sometimes blind faith in a mental model is "good"
