Another way to say this is any sense of self is a LARP. anytime things feel too serious it's because the LARP is forgotten, like a good actor. Forgetting the LARP let's you *feel* and *take* it seriously.https://twitter.com/AskYatharth/status/1349394579796094976 …

Watching a tragedy makes you cry. The same thing in reality would likely just make you numb. The LARP is in a way, MORE real than "reality". Taking things non-seriously allows you to take things seriously and enter the Heart of the moment.

Note the "near enemy" here which is similar to self-delusion. The "I can LARP as anything." trap. The point is that "you" have always been, are, and will continue to be a LARP. Not that you can now choose to LARP as God or your favorite anime character but IRL.

Another trap is not viscerally feeling the sensation of LARP and just intellectualizing it. There is no way to consistently force this feeling however. It seems to me mostly up to the individual's choice.

A red flag is a sense of seriousness in the mind. A "I must!" or "Why can't I!" A green flag would be a very slight nudge. A "Huh...why was I taking all that so seriously."

another near enemy, and this feels specific to the post-millennial generation, is habitual LARPing. E.g. a life that is 99% LARP and non-serious most of the time deals with much suffering. However... try poking at the identity. See if they suddenly get REAL nasty...
