why are video games so compelling? of course the boring answer is "they're made to be so" but why it is possible to build something like that? why, even if one has experienced deep irl pleasures, one can still be attracted to stuff like possessing pixels on a screen?

I think one clue is that for a lot of people, they really aren’t that compelling.
