What stocks provide is that instead of owning what are essentially carnival tickets in the form of fiat money, you can own “a piece of the action.” But when all the action feels like bs people feel like owning something else. A piece of “What is Real”.

What if the Carnival as Spectacle is the only “real” thing? 
Then the question would have to turn to “what is True” and that’s a whole nother can of worms.
