"Nature/God will provide for you" can be read as a folksy interpretation of the Anthropic Principle. If a "thing is in a situation, then the environment is suited to the "thing" since that very situation is what gave birth to the "thing".
One argument is "Well no, my situation is DIFFERENT the world ain't fair and it leads to death without me having made any difference in the world." Though...that's actually what's the SAME for everyone. (try naming the Pharaohs who built the pyramids)
