A neat way of turning something complex into a pithy aphorism is by translating it through multiple languages back and forth. Like tumbling a bunch of rocks together to polish them. I find that translating multiple times from Cat to English creates interesting effects:
Let's take the Bhagavad Gita. It's a rather hefty tome that's easier to display on a bookshelf than actually read. I can take a shortcut and translate it back and forth from Cat to English until something easy to digest pops out.
Here's an example summarizing the five arguments of Krishna. First I find a summarizing from Google. Then I translate it back and forth until something cool sounding, and potentially offensive in its over-simplification drops out: http://www.krishnamurthys.com/profvk/gohitvip/8201.html …
Respectively the arguments come out as: 1/ "Life is a drama" 2/ "Play your part." 3/ "Don't break character." 4/ "Follow the script." 5/ "There's only ONE show."
