Not necessary for sure lol. Most people are ignorant of their suffering, and so not even close to accepting it

Suffering without awareness is still suffering

IMO suffering can be modeled as "that shadowy place over there". Thus it is *part* of your world whether or not you go there or not. However, it's possible to push that shadowy place out of consciousness by recognizing the true fear of death (that which is outside consciousness)

Thus "that shadowy place" of fear is no longer an actual place but a *border*. It is the border between life and death. Death cannot actually enter consciousness because that's not possible by definition. You cannot be conscious of non-consciousness.

That border then becomes a friend because knowledge of that border is knowledge of your "edge" and means you are pushing yourself, gaining more knowledge to push back death further. (e.g. getting better at skiing to do more dangerous runs)

The reason a border can become a "place" is the same reason one stays 6 feet away from a cliff even though those 6 feet are perfectly safe provided you have clear and constant awareness of the edge.

The only way that edge can be focused on is by *really* wanting to live. Which is rarer than you think. Many sacrifice their lives for money the same a griefer in an multiplayer game constantly suicides their character. They "wipe out" as fear overrides conscious thought.
