u know how jed mckenna says that enlightened beings can't technically exist yet still he IS what that word refers to? it's not an intentionally coy riddle, he's just saying that he IS a fictional character.https://twitter.com/a_yawning_cat/status/1340038265584250881 …

remember that the strategy for spreading information in a mostly oral culture where few people know how to read, books are rare, movies don't exist, and there are no social media accounts where you can split yourself into multiple aspects is *different*.

You end up w/ a "serious joke" like:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Who's_on_First%3F …

the ability to 'not take your self seriously' is one of the things that makes it easier to get into other states of mind like blissful oneness or flow. If you HAVE to be good at sex or MUST win the the tennis match then that seriousness is the *the* blocker.

sure you can brute force it with massive amounts of technique, practice, memorization, etc...(all basically variations of forceful control over the external environment) but dropping the seriousness and engaging play makes things a lot easier.

This also means “you” can’t project management your way into enlightenment unless you truly find that fun. Most people do not. They have fun the same way you have fun filling your car with gas. In UX terms, it’s “excise”

Meditating 2 hours every morning and evening may build focus for writing or racecar driving or chess, but the seriousness of the schedule self sabotages if it’s non-concentration related tasks.

It's also why accounts like
@VCBrags are cathartic. It points at how seriously people can take non-seriousness.@nosilverv I can't find this post where you screenshot 4 large accounts that have you blocked and someone replied "only the avatar can master all 4 elements"Show this thread -
Stoicism is a strategy that mimics the final behavior of “non-seriousness” e.g. Arjuna slaughtering his relatives on the battlefield of God out of solemn duty vs the w/ the Joker mindset doing it while laughing manically.

U can just ask enlightened beings what their day to day experience is if u want to tell, if they are really enlightened it should be no problem for them to immediately spit out, without stopping, a shit load of dharma
-
Like, if ur actually enlightened then "proving it" is as easy as talking for as long as the person wants about what your actual reality is. people who dodge/avoid this are frauds imo, including if they randomly repeat some cheap saying
