Compassionate people aren’t morally superior. More often than not, they have tasted the depths of their own darkness which makes it harder to judge, for they realise they would only be judging themselves.
Something this made me realize is that 
understands the darkness of 
less (b/c of putting on a pedestal) so there is less compassion towards , expecting purity and perfection, etc.... Vice versa there is more understanding (violence, force, etc...)
