If it were produced over many human generations of sustained effort, then yes. Otherwise it is just another meme, slightly more persistent than the average.

Ah I see, the goal is to weather time, not just collaborate at scale. Makes me feel that the a cathedral then is just the capstone for the "real" value which is a community that weathers time. (In which case it seems like the 'family' unit is the smallest sub-problem)
