entertainment is an interesting product because it's value is only determined as it is being consumed. Insight, advice, etc is a product where the value is usually determined long after it has traded hands. This delay makes it much more difficult to price accurately.

If we think the value is predictable, we'll pre-order happily. Even if we're not usually accurate (i.e. pre-ordering games). But some "products" are highly variable and more dependent on the individual, so nearly impossible to price correctly.

I have a theory that there is also an upper limit to the "quality" of things that are predictable. Being able to profit off of high quality stuff w/o underselling requires building a long term relationships, e.g. a brand. Christopher Nolan movie, apple airpods, blizzard game, ..
