Classical music is a lot like pithy success/spiritual aphorisms. Without experience, they all sound kinda the same(and also boring.)

I don't particularly like most classical music as a listener (except while on nepeta cataria) but it's fun to *play*. It's like dancing with your paws. (vs say a 1-5-6-4 chord progression over and over again)

This 'playing' then makes the 'listening' fun. E.g. japanese songs become "good" because they're the intro theme to some anime. (Similarly, I strongly suspect a large portion of wine/beer enjoyment comes from feeling fancy/humble-fancy.)
