After my wife went vegan, I waited for years before I joined her. I knew I eventually would, but I made all kinds of excuses. None of them were my True Objection.

I'm really glad I'm not an obligate carnivore, it would make for some uncomfortable cognitive dissonance! Needing to feed meat to my cat is already causing me enough discomfort that she'll probably be our last.

At least until we have cultured meat! She might make it that long, tbh. I've been thinking of trying to DIY a cat food recipe using bivalves and cricket flour, but it looks riskier to try that for cats than for dogs, and she hates mussels
