Now that I think about it. Why do we imagine sisyphus sad? Have we never seen kids climb up a slide to slide down only to climb up again? Sisyphus is cursed only to the extent that he is attatched to a certain reality and how reality doesnt conform to his attatchements https://twitter.com/NykkiNaz/status/1330667266334216198 …

Have been thinking about this too. (from playing Hades...) What I visualized was the boulder falling down as "good" but the whole system as bad like waiting 6 hours in line for a 10 second ride and repeating for *forever* is a slavish life.

But on a more serious note. I think that reflects inhuman design more than it does reflect systematic failures E.g. all elevators have mirrors because 1. Makes it look more spacious which reduces claustrophobia. 2. Gives people something to do on the way up

It can simultaneously be both too, as both a harsh punishment and as a virtuous cycle. Life is nirvanic suffering. A group pushes a boulder together, the completion of the goal 'kills' the group but that goal was why the group was together.

This is trippy and will fuck with my head for the rest of my day. Thank you :) If goal completion kills the group or ego, then theyll grift and avoid completing the goal to survive Goals dont need to be the only reason they exist. Nor do they need to be completable...

They can exist in a form of loving a divine spark. E.g. we are made in the shape of god & so should be treated well. Works for both groups & Egos They can exist in striving for a divine ideal. But personally I hate this as it just adds pain & suffering through self flagellation

I like the buddhist idea of focusing on paying attention and being in the moment. I think its the most sustainable one However, I dont think its perfect (wait I'll talk myself out of this lol)

I feel like pure acceptance will lead to weakness. Extreme acceptance of death would eliminate medicine and just lead to more death However, most research is attentive curiousity based. "What would happen if we do this?" And then you pay attention to the results

Extreme acceptance can be glorious and tragic. E.g. the hero who sacrifices self for the group b/c it was the right thing to do. "I am the only one who can do this. I accept that I will die. I willingly and happily do this."
