Wondering why swapping lanes to try to get to checkout faster always fails. Theory: It's like 'choking' during sports. The analysis of a thing is always out of sync w/ the actual thing. The 'frequency' of the map and territory will almost always destructively interfere.

In order for the analysis to constructively interfere with the real world happening it has to be offset by exactly one "octave". That is, it must pattern match to something in the past. (or future if it's sth you read or saw)
