Sounds like a mental illness. Drugs are like throwing you off a cliff in VR, but tripping and falling off in real life can leave lasting damage. Shepherds of the mind may be guarding against dangers just as real as the physical

Ew, not sure I like the mental illness phrasing I guess illness is contextual. If I was a normal person, and I didn’t want it to be happening, it would literally be an illness
