Adults & children can both enjoy christmas even though the adult sees through Santa, and that it's a continuation of an originally pagan holiday, consumerist marketing, etc...

Seeing through an illusion doesn't dispel its magic. It can help you enjoy it more. E.g. the "I just learned physics now I can't enjoy movies" trope is kinda draining b/c it's a humblebrag that assumes everyone else is lost in illusion.
