I think it's more that children are naturally Amoral(just like the Universe). Morality is unnatural and always creates a shadow group of immoral 'behaviors'. "morality is unnatural" I like it because I don't necessarily believe in virtue or morality myself, outside of that entangled socio-construct I can see how empathy is a necessary evolution of consciousness, a gift from the indifferent universe
