I know that animals can be depressed, but do they commit suicide? Would imply that they have enough awareness of death and life if they think that way
Some dolphins/whales seem to have committed suicide. Cats can also intentionally starve themselves to death.

Though this is more self-destruction than suicide imo E.g. it’s not a strong intentioned suicide but like a cry-for-help kind that accidentally succeeds.
