      That egoless animals can get depressed leads to some interesting thought. Depression isn’t the disruption of a system by sth outside the system but a certain state of the system itself.

      The Death and Rebirth spell is rarely cast because it's cost is all of your remaining MP. It's too dangerous to cast unless you have someone who can cast Love on you to restore your mp. Though, it will still work even if your MP is at 0 (depression).

      This "I'm sad plz help me but I still want to be main character of my show about sadness" can make even the most helpful bystanders want to slap the person. Doesn't work since the depressed person is often slapping themselves as well.

      It's a kind of trap that happens when you overextend beyond your expertise. A movie about a bad actor requires a really good actor to play. If you try to play it w/o being a good actor the drama draws you in and makes up the skill deficit by leeching off your soul.

      The depressed person fundamentally believes in god but doesn't fundamentally believe in him or herself to be worthy of god. For some reason, out of guilt or fear, they deny themselves new experiences. They afraid to feel pain, afraid to feel pleasure.

      Now the only way forward is to cut the knot. Something that requires great courage. You know.. like the kind required if you were acting in a Great Show as the Main Character.
