people who fall in love with what they create are trying to love who they become in that act of creation. yet the act of loving the thing prevents the loving of the process that produced the thing. they are afraid to walk away from the mirror that reflects them so beautifully.

bad code is always egoic code. it's the brittle "me me me" chain that shouldn't be that long. You can't break the chain of a thousand me's without killing all of it and making the "me" angry. a house a cards is the worst kind of prison.

realizing feelings are just thoughts petrifies you from the inside out. realizing thoughts are just feelings traps you from the outside in.

without the user, the spark of communication never flies. bad code like the me-me-me ego chain is overly optimized to a single user. it's useless junk to trip on for anyone who is not the hoarder.

What is beautiful and created through complexity says in pride: "This was me.". What is beautiful and created through simplicity says in wonder: "This was not me."

a democratic process that doesn't not create simplicity creates totalitarianism as only those so disposed as master puppeteers can deal with all the knots. deadlock is the feature, deadlock is the bug.
