I wonder if food is like exercise. ‘Low ‘quality food is just food that doesn’t require the digestive system to exercise. Calories in-out model doesn’t make sense the same way work produced doesn’t say much about the workout.
How the work is produced, at what intensity, through which range of motion, etc... matter more than the final number.

Eating processed food all the time, even with calorie control may atrophy the digestive system so you feel weak/hungry all the time.
