Money is like reinforced concrete for meaning structure. Very scalable, strong, keeps people busy, etc... but also very easy to make everything into grey blocks.

If i’m chopping lettuce at a fast food chain, this meaningless action can be made more meaningful through story. E.g. connecting it to making people happy or saving up enough money to do something else.

Have you heard the tail of the three brick layers? Very similar energy. Also, I'm Enjoying thinking about the connections between imagination, moving forward projects, and the detail work brought up by this thread.

Yea, though I wonder if the “cathedral” idea has to come from an external source. Any cathedral internally created is like eating a sausage after seeing how it’s made.

Ha. Also every project I've seen coordinating multiple people. I feel like there is an unexplored underbelly to this simile considering how existentially grueling it can be working with politics and people.

Root is lack of the sacred IMO. Coordination based on grandeur isn’t possible as everyone believes they can create a bigger better sausage if given more meat.
