But does “too seriously” actually exist? It seems very difficult to control degrees of seriousness unlike degrees of unseriousness. It’s the “shit, someone died, stop laughing” binary switch flip.

Vs degrees of unseriousness which can even be manually controlled through substance ingestion. “How high do I wanna get with this group of friends?”

What “too serious” means then is enforcing rules for a game that no one is playing or seeing a demon or ghost that doesn’t actually exist. “Too serious” I suspect, is always a form of PTSD.

Since the majority of people in the world would benefit from therapy, most people have some degree of PTSD. Though probably emotional more than physical. Same effect though. The wrong things are taken seriously.

Evil is the same whether or not it manifests as the gun in the students hand or the pen in glutton’s. It just changes how thinly or thickly it’s spread around the world.

Evil is the mortal that masquerades as the inevitable, mainly through the instruments of Death and Taxes(Suffering).

True deaths lies behind you, true suffering lies ahead. They draw a line on the path. It’s a rather unclear path because of how many pseudo forms of death and suffering there are.

If everything is taken without seriousness the majority of the illusions disappear.

Yet the opposite danger is not as well known. Taking things too unseriously. E.g. trolling when you shouldn’t be. When 99% of people misunderstand and is causing conflict.

Happens a lot with smarter people who can see the 99%. The trolling filters out the “idiots” so that they can find their people. A specific “break down my walls if u really care” strategy.

Even if it’s causing (indirectly) the miscommunication that is leading to conflict that is causing real scars in psyches and real blood on the streets. That’s how desperately connection is desired at times.

It’s somewhat distasteful when manifested within a yang aspect since this indirectness is a yin instrument. It points to lack of balance. Like watching your lead health expert recommend injecting sugar and disinfectant as a cure-all.

It’s snake-like as well. The snake dies because the poison acts too slow. The poison is a kind of slow death revenge. It works as a species level strategy though by instilling a fear of snakes.

Which means that the indirect poison strategy works only if there’s a large enough and stable enough identity that persists through history. A solitary suicide bomber doesn’t make sense when not attached to a larger ideal.

People are willing to sacrifice themselves only when their deaths contribute to a larger symbol/ideal/movement. Otherwise kamikaze martyrdom poison that kills after i’m stomped on or eaten doesn’t make sense at the individual level.
