The children fight to show the Strict Father that the home is a Prison. The Father shelters against the fires of Hell, dousing the flames at the price of creating an Underworld.

Prisons and shelters are relative. I imagine a prison in Japan or similar would be better than being homeless (and free) in many parts of the U.S.

Corp life is a form of predictable mental brutality and seems to be the popular choice. It’s strange though, predicability can make things more painful, like a needle shot. Vs being jabbed unexpectedly the actual pain isn’t that bad.
