Why doesn't anyone use an output driven model for developers? Like why wouldn't you tag features with a cash bonus for beating a delivery projection decremented by the number of bugs that come out of QA?

IMO there’s a delicate balance between FTE and contractor/consultant dynamics. In the US, an FTE isn’t even an actual FTE compared to places where employees have corp housing/friends/food. It’s a weird middle thing with weird needs.
