Riding a bike is like being a constant victim b/c of the ever present danger of death. This causes you to blame others instinctively even if you may be the one that’s violating a protocol.

E.g. when I stub my toe on a door I instinctively want to blame the door, an inanimate object.

It turns you into a jerk if unexamined though. E.g. on a trail a bike is actually dangerous to the walkers but they’ll maintain the same attitude of “I’m a victim so I must be right.”

The valid victimhood mentality spreads to other areas because of how useful of a crutch/weapon it is. Like how heroin can replace sec and video games and relationships.
