Lots of sunlight, air, and water will kill a seedling by drying it out or causing mold. What your future self needs can harm your current self if you overidentify with your ideal self.

e.g. an abundance mindset is great but it should be caveated with "If you don't actually have an abundance mindset, pretending to yourself that you do will make it harder to actually have one."
