If it was dominated by community (correlated highly with religion) then your Task may be to face existential loneliness.

The School System isn't always the school. For rebels of the school system their real School System is some other group. The indoctrination always occurs.

Understanding that everyone operates from a School System helps to avoid the trap of feeling overly unique and special. "Yeah, I was a outcast ronin, I didn't go through the School System."

This can be worse in some ways because your School System is now hodgepodge of stuff. There's isn't a known or similar solution to work from. Your journey to unravel your school system will be more difficult.

An outcast unraveling their own system without mimicking others means that they tend to know more about unraveling systems in general. They can become forces of creative destruction.

They can kill any Sacred Cow and raise any cow back from the dead as well.

Still though, most people aren't super unique. If you understand the general shapes of the types of scripts that run everyone you can get better results from your own as well as be more emphatic towards those of others.

You can also be more critical, but in a supportive way. It's always easy to criticize someone else as running from a script because it's so clear from the outside looking in. Just be mindful that you have your own blindspots as well.
