It's hardly the garden of eden. It's more like high school. Though I think there's a sort of innocent happiness there, even for the most bullied.

Before people had such sophisticated ideas of virtue and ability to connect and fly all over the world, they mostly had sex with whoever was in the vicinity. To return an environment to its 'natural' state rekindles this dynamic.
