To move quickly and callously, giving people no time to react is forceful. To do the same slowly and in a highly visible way is powerful.

E.g. a fast BMW that doesn’t use blinkers is considered an asshole. The maneuvers are only safe if everyone is assumed to be relatively static caricatures of obstacles.

When others aren’t given the opportunity to react there is a forceful siphoning of power. Being forceful disempowers.

Power empowers because it’s acting as an Eternal Flame. It’s illusory for the most part since you can’t bind the infinite. What’s important is relative infiniteness.

Employees getting a salary from a billionaire is this sacred flame dynamic within the corporate world. An effective limitless number of torches can be lit without dimming the central light.
