You have to separate the rich people who worship money from the rich people who worship power. Money is the better false god. Relative to the worship of power, it's heaven and hell.

Money's force projecting power is depending on people's faith in it. It gains in mass the more it's believed in. The USD has high mass, the peso less so. Gold has literal mass. Bitcoin is like a quantum particle.

Even as I complain about how the money system is unfair, I still hope that my well diversified portfolio of stocks, bonds, gold, and a little crypto will come out ahead and bring me financial freedom which requires the existing money system to exist.

Theoretically everyone can just ignore the fat kings and their fake money and create their own system. The spears turn to dust when ignored. Though because you have to know "where" to start, this creation must be a 'fork' of reality.
