wow tough audience! a society that doesn't demand Reasons seems like a bad society tho
there's that quote about how you need to know 10x more than a student in order to explain something well. Trust is a way to short circuit that 10x necessity. E.g it allows for proper leadership in the absence of a 'master/god' figure.
