How deeply you feel in tune with yourself is a measure of how integrated you are with your unconscious.

It’s not like learning a new language. It’s more like building a relationship with a dog or a cat or a horse.

After a while you just “get” their internal state without necessarily understanding the specific things you noticed.

As CEOs of our minds and body, by the time we gather all the information and start creating a coherent thought, the actual stuff that has happened has long past.
Show this thread -
Tokenized discrete consciousness is always in the past. Maybe that’s why it’s possible to “feel” things that seem to predict the future. You’re watching sth happen, but you can “see the future” if you have direct access to the unconscious.
Show this thread -
E.g. every thought in your mind is like a movie frame being projected but if you have access to the person feeding the film into the projector you can “feel” (not see) the future.

Random daily examples include: flipping over a card and just “knowing” if it’s good or bad. Throwing something into a basket and just “knowing” at point of release whether it goes in or not.

Deja vu can also be explained. Like a CEO overhearing some information in the hallways but not really parsing it prior to it being presented formally in a meeting.

Like a neural network, the interpretations of reality become higher level the more layers information goes through. The CEO is at the output stage, waiting for binary information. The input neurons are very raw, they just feel like random stuff.
Show this thread -
The higher levels of interpretation include complex feelings like “good” or “bad” and “jealousy”. At lower levels you might have the 8 basic emotions: anger, fear, sadness, disgust, surprise, anticipation, trust, and joy.

More identifiable low levels signals are like “salty”, “hot”, “itchy”. The more low level stuff you can correct and quickly identify the more the CEO is integrated and “down to earth”. The CEO is trying to learn the language.

The CEO though isn’t strictly necessary. I’d wager that the CEO has a yang/phallic quality. It’s purpose is to create a coherent identity over time that can weather passage through the world line without breaking apart.

It maintains the triangle/spear shaped hierarchy that “pierces” the world. It says “I am me” and its shadow “Thus you are you.” It is the primal energy of boundary cutting power.
Show this thread -
The more low level you go the more overwhelmed the conscious mind. It has to at a point give up and just go with the flow. Raw inputs can be like strange fruit or sea creature. They look and feel alien and disgusting. Raw emotions can feel like jumping into a mud pit.
Show this thread -
The easiest way to maintain an easy identity is to draw a line and cut off portions of the company. E.g. if I’m making the world a better place I stop inspecting where my meat comes from, where my garbage goes, or how my iphone is made. It’s just easier that way.
Show this thread -
I can also cut off large portions of my internal feelings. Sexuality is often a target. As are “demonic” feelings like murder, anger, etc... The “slicing” power of the hierarchy is used against the world and against the self, creating a violence infused reality.

Nature and yin aspects are touchstones to reality. Things that are more “alive”. (God being actual reality itself which isn’t an actual thing to be touched like a tree.)
Show this thread -
When something is “alive” it staves off boredom. We don’t get bored of pets despite them being fairly predictable in how they react to most things.
Show this thread -
Same for online games. We can play them over and over again despite them looking the same from an outside view.
Show this thread -
From an internal view, the game is about improvement. It’s about bringing about aliveness in the self, not by adding via the environment. It can really improve certain things like reaction speed, teamwork, performing under pressure, etc..
Show this thread -
but they can also be like drugs. You’re chasing an “aliveness” that the artificial reality won’t be able to provide. Heroin for example is technically a “peak experience”.

Within this model boredom is a very interesting emotion. It’s a kind of anxiety. Like hiring a contractor for 200 per hour for a day and running out of stuff to do. There’s a pressure to “keep busy” to avoid feeling the constant leakage of life energy.
Show this thread -
The younger someone is the more overall life energy they have. Like a hot pot in a cold environment the leakage is greater and so the boredom impetus is much higher.
Show this thread -
There’s more desire to “transform” because there isn’t a CEO yet. Just 1 or 2 or 3 founders and a bunch of daemons. Boredom is an aversion to self, a desire for a “better” identity.
