I wonder if jealousy is actually something that happens to you rather than something that you do to yourself. E.g. if you get shot by an arrow, that arrow has to have been intentionally aimed at you.

He’s my bff irl, this is a tame example of how we talk to each other. But emotions coming forth is uncontrollable. If you feel something, you feel it. you can just choose to rationalize it or do w/ that feeling what you please. It’s the appearing we have 0 control over

Every experience is like this though, they just 'appear' in consciousness. My point is that maybe it's possible that feelings of envy may be rooted in someone specifically aiming to wound. Other emotions like anger/frustration can be unintentional due to miscommunication.
