I wonder if universities are actually doing perfectly fine from a social control perspective. Teaching useful skills and creating a “motivated” work force via debt enslavement both produce labor units for society.

Technology increases the desire for donkeys similar to how the cotton gin increased the appetite for slavery. Instead of training taxis drivers, have them blindly follow the uber map. Profit margin per soul goes wayyy up.
