The mind can burn different types of energy, generating different amounts of waste product(stress). Anger overclocks, but creates systemic microfractures. Frustration can burn for a long time (via long running redemption scripts) but produces pollution.

Following a cultural or societal script is 'free' energy like coal or oil just lying there in the ground. The pollution is an externality. Your own ability to power yourself also atrophies.

When the mind burns emotional fuel, the flame/light produced is a sense of self. Since "I" always exist, what is this constant fuel? I suspect it's a mild form of frustration with our humanity. I think this is what "life is suffering" means.
