What irks me about tech culture is that it's 'right' in that movement is closer to 'Quality' than stasis. But in a Goodhart's Law twist, by optimizing for speed you create unconscious steering.

The steering is more complex b/c of things like AI/Machine-learning but it's still "unconscious" in many ways. There's a similar parallel to the stock market where it barrels upwards and forwards but seems oblivious and unconscious to reality.
