When you realize that you're the ultimate victim, you can be friends with almost anyone. You realize that everyone fears death. You talk to the king the same you talk to your parents the same you talk to your friends the same you talk to your kids.

That's what "Being who you are" is. You're the same in every interaction. You no longer need a mask just like the former dog fighting pitbull no longer needs a muzzle.

You wrestle with the rabid wild bull because you love it. You are risking your life to pull the spear out of it because you realize that that angry writhing bleeding mass is your heart.

The world changes when a group of lonely people suddenly have an epiphany together. They realize that instead of going upwards they should stop and wait for people below. They take and maintain the high ground, but they don't take the *moral* high ground.

They realized that the key to loneliness is to stop the habit of taking the moral high ground. Taking the moral high ground in a friendship is like bringing out the nukes in a war. To do so severs and destroys.

Lonely people are lonely because they're armed to the teeth with psychological weapons. Every interaction is like shaking the hand of someone wearing shark-tooth covered gloves.

Lonely people can often benefit from being more sociopathic(spy like) or warrior like. You're trained to use your weapons with subtlety and with purpose. Not like a wild hurt injured animal with sharp teeth.

The wailing dragon can become a knight, serving his god. The knight never defeated the dragon. The dragon BECAME the knight.
