The thing is though... there is "another side". A side on which everyone can be friends. A side on which everyone is a victim. This is the realizing that everyone is a victim of death.

You don't have to become a software billionaire, olympian, or nobel prize winner to realize this. a janitor, waitress, and 8 year child can all potentially realize this fully at any moment.

When you realize that you're the ultimate victim, you can be friends with almost anyone. You realize that everyone fears death. You talk to the king the same you talk to your parents the same you talk to your friends the same you talk to your kids.

That's what "Being who you are" is. You're the same in every interaction. You no longer need a mask just like the former dog fighting pitbull no longer needs a muzzle.

Lonely people can often benefit from being more sociopathic(spy like) or warrior like. You're trained to use your weapons with subtlety and with purpose. Not like a wild hurt injured animal with sharp teeth.

When the knight sharpens his lance, dreaming of the dragon he will slay, he commits violence against his past and his future. He dreams of slaying himself.

Goodness is the dragon recognizing itself in the mirror. Evil is the lance sharpened to pierce the dragon's hide. The road to hell is paved with good intentions...
