For the longest time, I thought VC’s were people who gambled a lot, except instead of horses or cards, they bet on technology companies. I thought it was pretty cool and looked for sites where I could bet on technology companies. I thought it was basically like blackjack.
It’s more like hiring/firing money managers. There is an element of gambling though the same way hiring an employee is a gamble on his or her potential.
