Timing the market doesn’t work just like adding extra structure during stormy weather doesn’t work. Being “ready” for any type of weather means having excess and thus unnecessary capacity in parts of the ship.

The ability to gain “experience” through movement in the world is imo the heart of antifragility. Following an algorthm blindy, burying gold, buying lottery tickets, etc... none of these provide personal growth.
