Washing the dishes takes 5 min but as an event, it feels large and looming. The advantage to living by clock time over event time is that we can plow through such tasks since they take so little time. (In event time, every task is the same “size”)

This is prolly why giving an additional task to someone who is busy will have it done the fastest. Someone in clock-time mode will plow through the task since it only takes 5 min

Event time is better for continuing your story. You can sense when a task is meaningful or not to “the story of I”. You procrastinate on bullshit, feeling that it isn’t ‘right’.

What work-life balance is is this balance. This balance between serving your soul and serving the world. When you disregard this balance b/c it’s too much work, you end up living life purely through one mode.
