This act of 'repressing' emotion constantly seems insane and lazy from an outside perspective. "How could you have not known?! How delusional are you? Obviously it's not working."
Many of us repress emotions in an insane manner. It's like if I bought spider repellent but after 10 years there are still lots of spiders. Or following a diet for 10 yrs w/ no change. It's hard to admit that something we've been doing for a long time could be wrong.

So if you see something insanely broken in reality and have criticism towards it first hold your tongue and ask yourself if you're constantly repressing emotion. If so.. perhaps you should not cast that first stone. Their blind spot is just as large as yours.
