You don't have to give away everyone thing own to go on a spiritual journey. You just have to head in the direction that makes you want to give more and more of yourself away.

If you're just hoarding and stockpiling via a well balanced stock portfolio with no end in sight you're not actually planning well. You haven't got a plan to give things away. If you died suddenly all that would be left of you is a hidden pile of gold and forgotten bitcoin keys.
