If we can't demonstrate magical powers and dispel it when we claim existence of a matrix then you have to play Morpheus. You have to to tell them that they are the "One".

That's the real secret to kingship I think. Being a king is about being respectful and deferential to the people who believe in you. Most of us get caught up thinking being disrespectful to the people who don't believe in us is the same thing.
