Let me go further: the perception that God gave dominion to Christian men over animals, nature, non-Christian men (always the argument for slavery!) and women are responsible for most of our trouble. I’d say patriarchy is a natural norm and phase to go through for any culture or society. Religion containerizes culture like docker so it’s more robust and transferrable at the cost of potentially becoming just a box for cargo cult worship.
